Do you remember your dreams?
most of the time. If they stand out for some reason or other then yes. but if they are not unusual and if I am very tired, then I don't.
in the last couple of weeks I have had the chance to see some true colors of people I thought didn't have that kind of nastyness in them.
- we got to go for dinner after the audit was complete, Nice outing. and one group got there ahead of the rest of us and order a few appys to tiek them over. The rest of us get there and blam one lady says to the waitress, gives us all the appys in this column. WHAT! was my thoughts on that one. And they was all the expensive sea food items. Then she more or less hogged said items from the rest of us, she chose first before passing them on.
- Then she gets her dinner and starts picking at, and calls the waitress over and says 'can I have an order of potatos, the menue said there was potatoes with this item, I need potatos'. And not nicely either, no please thank you.
- on top of that she only ate half her dinner and got a doggy bag for the rest 'for lunch the next day'
- our boss, the director of finance ' says to her okay we bought you dinner can we get a discount at the trading post now?'
- to which she replied loudly, NO!
- someone I have known for a few years and always thought was nice, asked for an advance during the week that I was off work. So it took a few days to process, as I wasn't here to produce the voucher that would get her the cheque.
- she comes in today and says 'so they took their time getting the cheque to me, but already deducted the advance off my pay, fuckers! They usually wait for a couple of pay days before deducting"
- Now she only became permanent this year and has already had 2 freakin advances
GGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRR.
ggrr... so I wore a top that I made to work today, and damn it all if the darn thing was sitting next to the fabric softner sheets box. Yes it has been perplexing me all day where the odor that is making my throat sore is coming from.
back to work. To 77 emails, a mail box full of things that need to be done, and it's a payroll week. Yep it was ridiculously crazy yesterday. Is not so bad today, but is still busy.
Sigh, I don't want to work, wish we had won the lottery, but alas slow and steady.... :P.
wholly masquito heaven. I forgot how many mosquitos there are in Littlefort. Darn. We have lots of bites and are itchy, but it was certainly relaxing. I think Kim and I got a whole bunch of sleep. Well I did at any rate. I went to sleep at 9 pm (dark time) and woke up at around 7 or 730.
We is back home now, back to smoke filled air and gloomy skies, gloomy because all the smoke is above us and blockign out the sun.
Time to ge things done around here.
certianly is some way to start out holidays.
To day we are off to Littlefort for a couple of days. Mary talked herself into coming here until we return to 'watch tia'.
Well, we have all been shell shocked since Saturday. It seems that a week has passed since the fire's started. Has it really only been two days?
The Glenrosa fire (300 hectares) is 40% contained now. Rose Valley (150 hectares) is still 0% contained. But it is in mountainous area, too rough terrain to be able to get ground crews in. That one has mainly been fought from the air. Which means that it is only fought during the day.
Then a fire was started way out westside road. On terrace mountain, just past fintry, it is now at 875 hectares.
There was another fire that started at mission creek park, the one by orchard park mall. Because there were air tankers here, they doused it a couple of times and it was put out quickly.
In all so far we ahve seen that there are 9 homes lost in the glen rosa, but there are more than likely more.
I now feel confident that the fire is not going to get to our home, but we are still in smoke, makes it hard to breath.
I dont' think that we have been able to get 'good sleeps'. Even though I have managed to sleep, I don't feel well rested when I get up.
Thank goodness that our power has not gone off. Peachland has had to go without power for 24 hours.
I almost cried when I was shopping in walmart yesterday. I saw a line up of about 20-30 people, and it took me a question look to amber and a response of 'vouchers' from her to realize that these are all evacu-ees, they were using their emergency vouchers to purchase items that they needed.
It's eeries hearing all the planes and helicopters flying over continously.
Remember the dipstick? Well he made me go buy one, and they he couldn't fix it. I tried, but alas I didn't have the muscles to pull it out. Now the young lady buying the car was insistent that it get fixed.
So out I went to try to fix it or attract neighbourly attention to assist. When Lo and behold, I used the hammer as if I was pulling out a nail and out it popped.
I ROCK BABY.
What vacations would you most like to take in the next five years?
Presented by Intel, Sponsors of Tomorrow.
South Carolina, Europe, any place off the continet, I have not left this continent and would like to just to say that I have.
k, so we finally got our new table to hour place yesterday. I got up early so that I could make a trip to the dump. I get up shower, dress, and come out and ask kim to load me up. He starts freaking out, reminds me of tia when she freaks, shaky, darting here and there. LOL.
I got him to put the 3 bags of clothing, etc that we were getting rid off in to the van. FCS, I could not find the phone number for the dump anywheres in the goddamn phone book :P. So I just left home at like 730. Thank goodness their hours are 730-430.
Kim was freakin cuz he was to be at his parents by 9 to help the guy who was moving the table. Course his dad was freakin cuz we had not called him back to confirm. :P. It was a freaky monday morning, LOL.
The table is in our place, but still needs to be set up. The legs have to be screwed on, and then the table will need to be lifted to stand it up. Something that Kim figures my female brain could not understand. :P. WTF. And, he figures being female, I will also not be able to help him lift the table, after all, he can barely lift it.
Now, I have to ask meself, when did I make the transition from tomboy to female? Why can't I lift the table? Good god.
LOL, this morning I planned on getting rid of the old tv we have had by the door for 8 months :P, so I managed to get it to the door, half way out and kim comes running 'honey!' what are you doing he was to me. Oh, now I have to turn the van around so we can put the tv in it!
Yep we got it in there, I found out yesterday that the bottle depot takes old tv's and old paint. So that's what I did at lunch today, dropped off the tv and paint.
